JOHN LEE HOOKER . . . MR. LUCKY

JohnLeeHooker Socks

Clarksdale native JOHN LEE HOOKER is, just like Muddy Waters and B.B. King, one of those Delta blues artists who influenced many British and American musicians who loved to perform with him.  An example of this is the John Lee Hooker album Mr. Lucky whch featured Keith Richards, Albert Collins, Van Morrison, Carlos Santana and Johnny Winter.

Mr. Lucky was released by Charisma Records in the early nineties along with a limited edition of “JOHN LEE HOOKER MR. LUCKY SOCKS,”  a promotional item featuring stars and an imprint of John Lee Hooker’s signature on them.

When we obtained photos of a Charisma album release party of Mr. Lucky, we could not help noticing that John Lee was wearing his promotional socks, just like he did on the Mr. Lucky album cover, so we just had to find a pair of his socks for the display!
